As the distribution of electronic components and integrated circuits, the products themselves are not developed and produced by us, and we do not have the pricing power of components. We are not the main channel for product distribution, so we must be very clear about our advantages.


Our advantages are: ①Control the details of product circulation (the original factory is responsible for product production but not circulation, the agent is responsible for circulation but the internal work is too detailed, the business is too busy, and the professional knowledge of components cannot be transferred to the customer’s engineers, purchasers, Everyone in quality inspection, warehousing, production, debugging, etc.); ②flexible (BOM can be allocated, can be sold separately, can be inventory consignment, can be spot billing); ③neutral position (agents usually only recommend the brands they represent , And shielding some technical information of other brands may result in some more cost-effective products that cannot enter the vision of engineers).


The height determines the field of vision, the angle changes the concept, and the details determine success or failure.


In the process of component distribution, there are many specific product and product model details traps. Some customers do not indicate the brand or model suffix when inquiring, and most of them are just the functional model of the product. I don’t know if this represents most of the cases. Usually, when we receive an inquiry, there will be the following detailed traps:


Brand trap: Take optocoupler 817 as an example, there are no less than ten brands that produce optocoupler 817 in the world. In theory, they can be replaced with each other. However, when the application requirements are strict, it needs to be tested by engineers and can flow into mass production normally after passing. . If you do not confirm with the customer, there will be hidden dangers that the product cannot be used normally.

Functional model trap: For example, the functional model of optocoupler 817 includes the parameter CTR, and each brand has several levels to subdivide the use of the product. If this aspect is ignored, it is very likely that the products provided to the customer are not what the other party needs, which will cause additional costs in logistics, or even problems with the customer’s products, which will bring economic losses.

Suffix trap: The suffix includes package form, pin size, packaging method, etc. For example, the customer has specified that the package is to be patched, but in fact, the package of the patch has two kinds of wide feet and narrow feet; the pin size is also divided into the red glue welding process problem and the solder paste welding process size; the packaging method is also There are marking positions for chip pins; the most important thing is that there are iron feet and copper feet. If these problems are not clearly identified, they will bring great hidden dangers to customers' products in the production process. The complete product model number = brand prefix + functional model number + detailed suffix. If any letter or number on the complete model number is missing, it is a trap.

Top mark trap: I remember that I shipped 500 pieces of SN74LVC4245APWRG4 to the customer before, and gave the customer the complete model. Because there is no original packaging, the quality inspection will not be accepted by the customer. The reason is that the model on the chip is LJ245A, and I insisted on returning it. The customer opens the PDF document for him to see before the goods are put into the warehouse. In fact, LJ245A is the top mark of this complete model. We often encounter some small-volume packages, which basically touch the top mark. If you don't pay attention, it will cause unnecessary trouble, and even cause the order to return. The reason is simple, not every practitioner is professional, and would not think of viewing the chip's PDF documents at the beginning.

Production batch number trap: Some customers will require the production batch number of component products within one and a half years, and some will require the production batch number within two years. If the supplier's production batch number is not clearly asked when purchasing, then Will face the danger of customer rejection. In this way, we will catch up with the logistics freight back and forth, and if the supplier does not agree to exchange, then these products will become our inventory, or even dead material.

Packaging and testing trap: Everyone knows that the original wafer manufacturing location and packaging and testing location are usually not in the same place, and there are usually several original wafer manufacturing locations and packaging and testing locations, including the original factory’s generation. Business. Chip packaging or the top mark is usually just the packaging and testing ground. Sometimes customers will specify the origin of the products they want, and these aspects are also what we should pay attention to.


To summarize: the top mark of the component, the production batch number, the packaging and testing location and other factors related to the physical and appearance of the component. These are all details that we need to pay attention to. The detailed questions that may appear in the later period can be brought to the quotation link, including the complete model of the product, package model, quotation quantity, brand name, unit price (tax included/tax excluded), function brief description, product packaging and testing, and production The explanation of the batch number, even the top mark, and the replacement reminder of discontinued materials, etc., to avoid negligence and relics in the details of the product supply. In addition, there are detailed traps in the contract, such as the place where the contract is signed, the accounting period, and logistics. I won't elaborate on it here.
