The term monolithic inductors first appeared in some relatively large Japanese and American products, as well as high current inductors, compression molded inductors, molded inductors, SMT high current inductors, etc. Some motherboard manufacturers are used to calling ferrite inductors. In fact, ferrite and the material ferrite used in the one-piece inductor that we will introduce in this article have the same meaning, just for the convenience of distinction.

The integrally formed inductor (molded inductor) includes a base body and a winding body. The base system is formed by die-casting the winding body into the metal magnetic powder. The SMD pins are the lead-out legs of the winding body and are directly formed on the surface of the base body. It has higher inductance and smaller leakage inductance than traditional inductance; the inductance is designed with SMD structure, which will not damage the inductance during use, but also can improve production efficiency.
